Biography

   Hal Yaskulka Was born in Brooklyn, New York.  His one man shows include the West Valley Art Museum, in Sun City Arizona, the San Marino Gallery in Pasadena,Ca., Harris Meisel Gallery in Santa Barbara, Ca. Bruchion Gallery in West Los Angeles, Stanley’s Gallery in the San Fernando Valley, Agape Art Gallery in Culver City and Dassen Gallery, Beverly Hills, California He has recieved an award for the itnternational Society of Acrylic Painters, best in show at the Beverly Hill’s “Affaire in the Gardens”which was a competition of over 240 artists.Along with his various group exhibitions throughout the United States he has also been published in Northlight pulications("Acrylic Works") ,Watson & Guptill Publications and Rizzoli Publishing. (Both Ivy Press Limited. )His commissined works Include paintings and drawings which are featured in the award winning film “The Departed”, “Rush Hour”, “Maiden Heist”, “Contraband” (with actor Mark Walberg), TV show “Suburgatory”,  and soon to be released ,”Lovelace”.

     He has also done many Portraits , Figurative works, Abstract works and Landscapes for private collections, and Hollywood Films throughout the United States. In addition Mr. Yaskulka has painted Murals for Disney and many casinos in Las Vegas , Record labels such as: Virgin Records, Capitol Records, Geffen Records, Rhino Records, Atlantic Records, Warner Brothers,Electra, Reprise, CBS, ColumbiaEMI, Polygram, Motown and MCA.Mr. Yaskulka teaches painting and drawing classes privately and at the Kline Academy in theLos Angeles Area.He has also taught at the Art Center College of Design in Passadena, California.His own course of study was at New Yorks School of Visual Arts.
